AutoCAD Civil 3D and Site Leveller provide a comprehensive set of site regrading tools for the irrigation industry.  Using the revolutionary surface and grading features of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Site Leveller gives you full control over the grading and level of your bays as well as optimising the design for volumes accounting for topsoil removal and resinstatement.  Using AutoCAD Civil 3D corridor tools you can quickly finalise your surface redesign to include irrigation channels and any other site features.

SITE LEVELLING IN AUTOCAD CIVIL3D

Irrigation site design requires the re-grading of bays to account for removal and reinstatement of topsoil depending on the cut/fill depths across the site.

AutoCAD Civil 3D provides the foundation of a complete site works solution for the irrigation industry, featuring a dynamic civil modelling environment and integrated drafting and documentation inside of a familiar AutoCAD environment.   AutoCAD Civil 3D is an AutoCAD specifically developed by Autodesk for designers and drafters in civil engineering, land planning and survey industries.

Using Site Leveller – developed by Civil Survey Solutions, you can automatically create, grade and edit bays, create surfaces and calculate volumes inclusive of topsoil removal and reinstatement. Multiple bays can be created simultaneously and regarding can occur across the site. In-built optimization tools allow you to automatically optimise volume outputs by adjusting the bay levels, grades or grade directions.

Design entities in the drawing are intelligent objects that maintain relationships with other objects in the model. As you edit surface data, adjust open drain alignments and/or levels or adjust your cross sections, all of your changes are propagated through to all related objects, including labels and tables.

altStudy water flow over the surface and build watershed catchment maps.

Create multiple dynamic surfaces, adjust surface ‘bay’ gradings graphically and/or numerically and create and analyse TIN volume surfaces. As each surface is adjusted all labels, tables and volumes will update. Volume surfaces will maintain a dynamic link to visualise cut and fill triggers.

With a complete set of corridor (road) design tools you can create any table drain sections you require, with total control over the cross section shapes, levels and batter projections. Channel capacity checks are also able to be undertaken on your designed cross sections to ensure adequate irrigation controls.

SITE LEVELLER - OPTIMISING AUTOCAD CIVIL 3D LAND GRADING

Leveraging the Site Grading Tools and Parcel Tools inside Civil 3D, Site Leveller will allow you to quickly analyse multiple areas (bays), compute volumes and optimise bay levels, grades or grade directions to minimise earthworks volumes inclusive of cut/fill triggers for topsoil removal.

Site Leveller is the premium tool for the irrigation industry – pick a single or multiple bay outlines, set surface compaction factors, grid spacings for calculations, triggers for topsoil removal/reinstatement and calculate bay volumes. Optimise the bay to minimise cut/fill including additional topsoil removal/reinstatement.

With Site Leveller you can optimise the bay levels, grades or grade direction to minimise earthwork volumes.  As you make changes to the bay parameters you can see the results for cut and fill and topsoil removal and reinstatement.

As adjustments are made the bay surface will also be updated in the drawing and you can automatically include a volume surface shaded to identify the cut and fill trigger depths.   Conditional labelling is instantly outputted on to a Bay based on whether the point is in cut or fill and/or whether trigger conditions are met. Users can create their own Label Styles or select a pre-made style such as “Cut & Fill” labels.

Site Leveller will create AutoCAD tables detailing your bay designs. Configure the information to be presented in the table including total cut and fill, topsoil removal and reinstatement and haulage distance.

All outputs occur directly to AutoCAD Civil 3D, so once your bays are designed you are ready for creation of construction plans and immediate plotting.
