New Licensing SystemWe found some problems with the performance of the Reprise License Manager to various customers, particularly in a network environment. Depending on network configuration and controls, some customers experienced sporadic stoppages in the Reprise license manager. We have moved from Reprise to Infralution - the Infralution licensing system allows for much greater control and management by Civil Survey Solutions, so we can more quickly and more directly address any issues that may arise. It's now far simpler to obtain a standalone license, and network license administration is more streamlined. You will have a new Serial Number for this version, across all CAD platforms. If you haven't received yours, please contact the Subscription Co-ordinator. |

Adding Extra Section Sampling On-The-FlyIt's always been a bit annoying when you're in the middle of modelling or applying an edit in the Design Data form, and you find that you want extra cross section sampling applied to the string. Because changes are applied at sampled cross sections, you need to add them. Historically, you had to resample the road. Well, we've added to the ribbon, menu and toolbar the ability to open a form and quickly add cross section sampling. Recognising that you often want to do this in conjunction with design edits or modelling, we've also added this functionality to the Vertical Grading Editor, Design Data Form and Model Builder. Quickly add extra sampling, without shutting down what you're in the middle of. |

Get Control of Auto Model and the Linework in the DrawingAuto Model creates a trimmed surface of all your roads, kerb returns, cul-de-sacs, knuckles and roundabouts. But sometimes, you want to quickly omit certain road strings, or add extra strings such as wandering footpaths, retaining walls and car park strings. Now you can - accessible from the Toggle Surface Display form is a new tab that allows you to include and exclude strings from the Auto Model surface. ARD automatically draws all linework for all strings (and their cross sections) - with this new functionality added you can also tell ARD not to display linework for any strings you create. Get the output you want - surface and linework - with minimum effort. |

Quick Creation of Draped StringsWe've introduced a Drape Strings command for you to quickly convert your alignments into Strings, complete with an assigned template (if desired) and draped onto a surface. We support updating of all draped profiles from the Updated Draped Strings command. Speed up creating design components that need to be draped on a surface.

New Variation - Match SlopesMany designers just want to read the elevations/offsets of two codes on their design, and use this to set the slope to a design code. Well, this is the variation for you! When you want to extend the design crossfall from a sawcut location out to your design left/right edge, this tool will work perfectly. No more using Road Matching Model, or creating a string and editing elevations. You can even set a grade break to apply to the calculated slope. |

Dynamic Plan Drafting | Surface Modelling | Model Builder | Driveway Creation | Roundabout Creation | Multi Setout Routine
Dynamic Plan DraftingLinework representing roads/strings from Total Model and other design models will now be produced automatically. The linework will also automatically update when changes are made to the design. The colour and linetype of the linework can be customised by the user and users can toggle the linework on/off in the new Toggle Surface Display command. |

Dynamic Surface ModellingThe new ARD Quick Surface is used to created dynamic design surface models that will automatically update when changes are made to the design. The display of these surfaces can be controlled in the new Toggle Surface Display command and surface styles can be assigned using the new Create/Edit Surface command. The Create/Edit Surface command can be used to assign an analysis such as a slopes analysis to the surface. |

Model BuilderSuperseding the Model Manager and Build Models commands, Model Builder is a new tool that allows users to graphically stitch together a design model. The Model Builder command is an improved version of the Build Models command and the model being created/edited is displayed in model space, rather than in a dialog box. By default, an ARD Quick Surface is produced. This surface will automatically update when design changes are made.

Driveway Creation ToolsThe new Driveway Creation Tools allow users to design roads and other design features, and simultaneously check driveways for vertical clearance. Driveways can be easily defined using AutoCAD Polylines and vertical design checks are applied automatically when vertical changes to a road are made. Users have the ability create their own layback shape and also vehicle clearance templates.

Multi Setout RoutineSuperseding the existing Setout command, the new Multi Setout command allows users to setout multiple roads or strings using a setout style. A setout style can be created by the user and is setup to define what features of the road/string are to be setout, how the point data is displayed, and how the information is to be reported. |
