Education Programs - Building for the Future

In Victoria a bold proposal was put forward to universities and tafes a number of years ago to adopt AutoCAD Civil 3D for free at their organisations and to have Civil Survey Solutions (formerly CADApps Australia) assist in developing curriculum, educating the lecturers and assisting in the delivery of the education programs.

Many universities and tafes took up this opportunity to use and teach engineering and surveying on an AutoCAD based design platform.

The end result is a significant investment in the future software that civil engineers and surveyors will adopt, as students graduate out into the workforce.

See below for a list of institutions currently using Autodesk software in their engineering and/or surveying faculties.

Implementation for Education Institutions

If you would like to make an inquiry about including an Autodesk solution into your engineering or surveying curriculum, click here.

Civil Survey Solutions have assisted many institutions to incorporate this technology into their syllabus including training of lecturers, development of student training/assessment resources, as well as facilitating student lectures and tutorials.

Free Software for Students!

Autodesk and Civil Survey Solutions provide FREE student copies of their software - all you need is proof of your student status and you are eligible to download, install and use a collection of products that represent the extensive Autodesk product range as well as Australian design tools for engineers and surveyors.

Swinburne University - Road Design Excellence Awards

As part of our ongoing committment to student excellence, Civil Survey Solutions has again issued a total of $1,000 in prizes to the top three performing students for road design studies at Swinburne University in 2010.  Prizes were issued at the recent Swinburne Awards night.

The Swinburne Awards night was a fantastic evening showcasing the fantastic engineering courses available at Swinburne and celebrating their top students across all of their courses.

This year we had a three-way tie for third place, with five of the top students sharing in the prize.  In keeping with previous years, students were assessed based on a written submissions for a residential road design and their presentation of the design to an evaluation panel.

Congratulations to them all - continue the great learning and achievements in your civil engineering.  Here is a photo of the happy (cashed up) students.

We are proud to be part of the Swinburne curriculum and recognising their top performing students in Civil Engineering.

Swinburne University - Road Design Excellence Awards

Last year Civil Survey Solutions offered a total of $1,000 in prizes to be awarded to the top three performing students undertaking road design studies at Swinburne University in 2009.

This year we had a tie for third place, with four of the top students sharing in the prize.  Students were assessed based on a written submissions for a residential road design and their presentation of the design to an evaluation panel.

Congratulations to them all - continue the great learning and achievements in your civil engineering.  Here is a photo of the happy (cashed up) students (and their long suffering lecturers).

Congratulations also to Swinburne University for their development and implementation of a learning program seeing their graduating students enter the workforce with a great understanding of civil engineering principles as well as hands-on experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Advanced Road Design and Stringer to deliver road design, survey and other civil engineering design outcomes.
